Now I have enough context. Here's the n-ice.world Ethical Code, inspired by the ACC framework and aligned with NOBCO/EMCC principles:Ethical Code, n-ice.world, Creation Studio for Human Connection.
Our Foundation
At n-ice.world, we believe every body has a n-ice way. Our coaches, facilitators, and mentors are committed to guiding each person with care, integrity, and respect, whether in a one-on-one session, group experience, or online program. This Ethical Code applies to everyone working under the n-ice.world and BreathFluencer Academy name. It aligns with the principles of the NOBCO International Ethical Code (IEC) and the EMCC Global Code of Ethics.
1. Respect & Inclusion
We treat every person with dignity, equality, and genuine care — regardless of gender, background, nationality, sexual orientation, belief, or physical ability. We create space where all feel welcome, seen, and safe to find their own n-ice way. We do not discriminate, exclude, or apply pressure of any kind.
2. Integrity & Trustworthiness
We do what we say. Our participants can rely on us to honour our commitments, show up fully, and act with consistency between our words and actions. Trust is the foundation of every experience we create.
3. Confidentiality
Everything shared within our sessions stays within them. Personal information from participants and coaches is handled with the utmost discretion and is never shared with third parties without explicit written consent. In peer consultation or supervision, only anonymised information is used. Where Dutch law requires disclosure, this is first discussed with the person involved — or, if deceased, with their next of kin.
4. Professional Boundaries
During any program, and for a minimum of 6 months after its conclusion, coaches and facilitators do not enter into personal or romantic relationships with participants. We do not coach multiple people from the same close social network where conflicts of interest may arise. These boundaries protect the integrity of the coaching relationship and the wellbeing of everyone involved.
5. Equality & Awareness of Dependency
Our work is grounded in equality. We acknowledge that a coaching relationship can create vulnerability and a degree of dependency in the participant. We are mindful of this dynamic and will never exploit the trust placed in us — consciously or unconsciously.
6. Competence & Continuous Development
We are honest about the scope of our expertise. We commit to ongoing professional development and self-reflection. When a question or need falls outside our competence, we refer participants to other appropriate professionals — ensuring they always receive the right support.
7. Responsibility — Shared & Clear
We take full responsibility for the quality of our guidance, the safety of our environment, and the clarity of our communication. You take responsibility for your own choices, preparation, and aftercare. Together, we co-create the experience. Neither of us can do it alone.
8. Safety First
The physical and psychological safety of every participant is non-negotiable. We provide clear instructions, personalised adjustments, and group support — not peer pressure. If we observe a situation that poses risk, we will intervene. We expect all participants to listen to their bodies and communicate openly with our team at any time.
9. Reporting Concerns
In line with the Dutch Meldcode (reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse), n-ice.world coaches have the right, and in some cases the duty, to break confidentiality when there are serious safety concerns. Where possible, this will always be communicated to the participant first. For consultation, coaches can contact Veilig Thuis: 0800-2000.
10. Conduct Between Coaches & Team Members
All n-ice.world team members treat one another with professional respect. If a team member suspects a colleague is acting unethically toward a participant, they are expected to address it directly first. If unresolved, it can be escalated to n-ice.world leadership at smile@n-ice.world.
Feedback & Updates
This code is a living document. We welcome suggestions and will review it periodically. Proposed changes can be submitted to smile@n-ice.world. Ask for Kim Padding, founder of n-ice.world.
Updates will be shared via our website and n-ice.letter by n-ice.world | smile@n-ice.world | www.n-ice.world
